JAKE'S STARS F.C. 

The Southland's newest youth club is here and we are looking for players that love the Beautiful Game as much as we do to join us. Jake's Stars F.C. was founded in 2005 by Erwin "Jake" Fleps as a top level men's club with teams at the Open, O35 and O40 levels. Since then, JSFC has been a dominant force at those levels, with multiple state, regional and national titles over the last 20 years. Combine that with titles at high level international outdoor and indoor tournaments and you have a club that is rooted in success and rosters filled with former international and domestic stars who have played at the top level both here and overseas.

With that enormous success as the foundation of our club, Jake's Stars is now branching out at the youth level. In a move that is long overdue, JSFC will look to produce those same results at the youth level while concentrating on developing each player that comes through our program and helping each player reach the level they aspire to be at when they finish their time with us. 

Along with founder Jake Fleps, JSFC will look to the experience and knowledge of their Executive Director and Director of Operations to help move the club from its early days to the future successes we look forward to. 

Executive Director Ante Čop brings 25+ years of experience as a director, head coach and administrator to his role at JSFC. The current Head Women's Soccer Coach at Ancilla College, Čop has been a head coach at the professional, college, high school and youth levels. He has won titles at all levels and has helped players move on the higher play at each location he has coached at. He holds a USSF A license with a United Soccer Coaches of America Premier Diploma. He was Southern New Hamphsire College's first ever All-American goalkeeper and graduated from SNHU with his Masters degree in Sport Management and Bachelors in Marketing. Čop will bring all of that experience to his role here at JSFC and can't wait to start.

Director of Operations Claudio Frigo is a name synonomous with leadership and forward thinking. The former President of the Illinois State Soccer Association and founder of the Premier League of Chicagoland, Frigo brings a no nonsense approach to his role and will be in charge of club operations which will include registrations, tournament placement and other responsibilities. Claudio will be the main point of contact for the club and will be the club's ambassador at all events.
